SEPA direct debit
From 10 October 2022, Raiffeisen Leasing has provided the service of SEPA direct debit for small businesses, according to the rules of the SDD scheme.
SDD is a national payment service in euros for debiting the payer's account in favor of the payee's account, whereby the payment transaction is initiated by the payee on the basis of the Mandate previously collected from the payer.
The advantage of SEPA direct debit is that it is a simple way for making regular payments of obligations, while reducing the risks arising from the consequences of late payments.
Direct debit is a payment service for debiting the payer's account when the payment transaction is initiated by the payee towards their payment service provider. The prerequisite for the SEPA direct debit service is the payer’s Mandate previously provided to the payee.
The Mandate represents a standardized set of data based on which the payer has given consent to the payee to initiate a payment transaction from the payer's payment account via the payment service provider.
Detailed rules and conditions are defined in the Basic and Business SDD scheme Rules, and you can find them on the official website www.sepa.hr
